Footnotes and fancy-free

To Which? Legal Dept    this page is not available to normal readers     date - 3 Jan

In November, I wrote to Which? requesting use of its material etc on this website.  Sabrina Pritchard's reply is below.

An email was sent on 2 Jan to SP whose reply was:

Thank you for your message. I am currently out of the office until 22 January 2013.

For any urgent issues, please contact

Here is the 2 Jan email to her and her reply:

Dear Sabrina

Thanks.  What with Xmas, Hogmanay, a daughter in hospital for a week, and all the other things that life sets before one, I have now reached the stage of making a presentation.

It shows the way I hope to go about using the Which? resources.

Duration?  Permanent, please.

There's two pages just now, starting here:             Whole site under construction.

If all goes well your end, I plan to open more pages.

As you see so far, I have taken every measure to cast Which? in a goood light.

I will follow all procedures.

We received mags in the post until a while ago.  Unusually, my wife signed up, I do most of the admin.

She has mislaid the letters etc.  Which? admin people could track her down, I hope.  I tried logging in to no avail.

Many thanks.

BWs for 2013.

Dear Alan

Thank you for your request to reproduce some wording taken from two articles in our Which? Magazine May 2011 publication:

  • Supermarket packaging unwrapped, pg16-18
  • The truth about supermarket offers, pg19-21

Before we process your request, please could you confirm the following:

  • The exact wording you would like to reproduce from both articles
  • Full details of how you will use the wording (I believe it will be reproduced on your website:
  • How long you would like permission to use the wording

If you have any other details that you feel would be relevant to your request, please do let me know.

Thank you for your interest in Which?

Kind Regards

You are requested to reply soon, please, as I would like to get on with the development of the section of this website.

My main website is Gastronomy which nets more than 2000 new readers a month.  When this Supermarket Deception site is ready, there will be (with your concurrence) a page on Which? in the Gastronomy for All sectionhere.  We can liaise over content and you are assured that whenever I mention Which? on any site, you will be consulted.

I am developing a healthy-eating website aimed at U3A members here. There will be links to this Supermarket Deception site.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best wishes.
